As a Wolak Learning Fellow, I worked closely with professors and staff members to enhance the academic experience for students, meeting weekly to reflect on classes and collaboratively plan strategies for improvement. I developed an understanding of pedagogy and applied this knowledge by designing and implementing active teaching plans, running experiments, and collecting feedback through surveys and student interactions. I also fostered strong relationships between students and faculty, engaging students as partners in the learning process, which promoted open dialogue, peer role modeling, and an overall strengthened support system within the academic community.

Concluding the semester-long study, I was able to create a poster and present at Southern New Hampshire University’s Undergraduate Research Day, where I reflected on what I learned through collaborating with students and professors.
